Exposure - Behind the Rage: America’s Domestic Violence 17 October 2022: Monday on ITV 11

Bafta and Emmy award-winning filmmaker Deeyah Khan investigates America’s domestic violence problem, speaking to the male perpetrators themselves.

Part of ITV’s Bafta-winning Exposure strand, Behind the Rage: America’s Domestic Violence, asks if it is possible to reduce these endemic levels of male violence, as one in four women fall victim to domestic violence and abuse in the USA.

Evidence shows most female homicide victims are killed by their current or former partner. Deeyah Khan has been an activist fighting violence against women for the past 15 years and delves into why violence against women happens and how it can be stopped.

For the first time ever, cameras are granted exclusive access to The Family Peace Initiative in Kansas, which runs a battering intervention programme to re-educate abusers, as we hear from men who speak candidly about their offences and violence against women.
