Hayley Goes… – 29 September 2021 – 29/9/2021 – BBC

Filter Free – Series 3 – Presenter Hayley Pearce finds the pressure to be perfect exhausting. And she’s not alone – today young people are feeling the pressure to be perfect more than ever before. Whether it’s having a perfect face, a perfect body or a perfect lifestyle, the perfection pandemic is real – and Hayley wants to know what – and who – is driving it.

To find out, she’ll meet the people who are going to extreme lengths to get perfection in their life. She’ll meet 24-year-old Levi who loves filters so much that he’s spent the last five years – and £30,000 – to look like his favourite filter. She’ll meet ex-Love Islander Malin whose pursuit of a perfect body had near-devastating consequences and she’ll meet the ‘lifestyle influencer’ who will reveal that curating a perfect life isn’t all that it seems. And with recent stats showing that nearly 40% of teenage girls won’t upload a photo without adding a filter first, she’ll join a group of Girl Guide Rangers at a self-acceptance workshop to learn how to turn negatives into positives.

As Hayley comes face to face with the real her and attempts to embrace her ‘flaws’, will she dare to bare all and go filter-free?
