Saved and Remade – 20 April 2021 – 20/4/2021 – Tuesday – BBC Two

Series 1 Episode 17 of 20

Gill is driving her beloved car for the last time. She’s brought it to the workshop because it won’t pass another MOT – but would much rather it was transformed than just scrapped. Metal and mechanics expert Titch has a practical idea that she really likes. Leigh pitches a completely different transformation that nearly leaves her speechless.

A pair of ballet shoes get fabric expert Elizabeth’s interest. They belong to Charlotte, who has spent her life dancing after being inspired by her dance teacher from the age of three. Her teacher had a huge impact on her life and passed away recently. Now a dance teacher herself, Charlotte would love the shoes to come out of their box in a cupboard and become something special.

And Glen and Linda bring an old fire screen in for metalsmith John to take a look at. It’s been in Glen’s family for around a hundred years, but some of the stained glass is broken and it has no purpose any more. John’s expertise means the screen is transformed – and Glen and Linda are thrilled.
