Natalie directed the film, starred, and produced it alongside “The Morning Show” star Mark Duplass. She talks about the film’s deep exploration into the evolution of virtual connection during the pandemic and more.

Renowned speaker and activist Valarie Kaur stops by to tell us about her new memoir, “See No Stranger.” Valarie has been at the forefront organizing for the Sikh American community in the wake of violence against Muslims following 9/11. The memoir takes a journey back to Natalie’s life as a college student at Stanford University in the early 2000s when she was given a grant to make a documentary film about hate crimes against Sikh American families.

Earlier this year, videographer Gunnar Michels posted a viral video declaring that he wanted to marry another user from the platform. Gunnar promised to fly his wife-to-be to Las Vegas where they would be hitched, all expenses paid. Danielle Gross’ submission really stood out to Gunnar and after facetiming, they decided to get hitched. They Skype into the show to tell Tamron about their Valentine’s Day wedding, their parents’ reactions to the engagement, and living in a converted ambulance tiny home.

Ty Stone accepted the average friend request on Instagram, and it blossomed into a romance beyond his wildest dreams. Even though Ty was in New York and Youyou was in Australia, their connection was so strong that Ty purchased a ticket to Australia to meet her. The pandemic ruined their plans, but more than a year later the couple remains committed. They tell Tamron about the wind whirl romance and maintaining their relationship virtually.
