Tamron Hall Show — October 5 2021 – 10/5/2021 – Tuesday

Today, Tuesday 5 October 2021, Tamron Hall hosts a new episode of the “Tamron Hall Show” that’s a daily destination for all things topical and a platform for viewers to connect with the people who are shaping the world through meaningful, engaging and entertaining conversations.

Today’s Guests: Amy Grant, Deji LaRay, Thomas Q. Jones, Julia Sweeney, Abby McEnany, Molly Ringwald

Today’s Highlights

Six-time Grammy-winner Amy Grant joins our show. Often referred to as “The Queen of Christian Pop”—Amy looks back at her successful crossover from contemporary Christian music to pop in the 1980s and 1990s. She walks down memory lane in a sit-down with Tamron Hall to talk about ultimately selling over 30 million albums worldwide. And dishes on being featured in the new documentary “The Jesus Music,” which includes intimate interviews with Christian music’s biggest stars.

Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Julia Sweeney and writer/actor Abby McEnany stop by to talk about the second season of their show, “Work in Progress.” During the discussion, Julia Sweeney looks back at her controversial “SNL” character “Pat” and talks about woke-ism in comedy.

Former NFL running back-turned-actor Thomas Q. Jones and his producing partner Deji LaRay discuss their series, “Johnson,” that is told from the Black male perspective. The series that revolves around four best friends in Atlanta, hopes to bring a realistic representation of the Black male community to TV and a look into the overall male culture.

From “Sixteen Candles” to The16Vaccine.org, Molly Ringwald is still helping to educate society about the lifestyles of American teenagers. Her latest partnership with The 16 Vaccine finds the mom of three advocating for prevention against meningococcal disease and encouraging parents to talk to their teen’s doctors. Molly hopes to help spread awareness about the potentially lifesaving CDC-recommended second dose of the MenACWY vaccine and alert parents about other important adolescent vaccines, including MenB. Molly talks to us about the project, losing her dad, and her iconic films in a sit-down with Tamron Hall.
