Bret Baier, author of “To Rescue The Republic,” breaks down the latest updates in the push and pull between Senate Democrats and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell over the debt ceiling.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Susie Essman makes her first visit to The Late Show and talks about what separates her co-star Larry David from other stand-up comedians. Susie returns to HBO for the 11th season of “Curb” on October 24th.

Bret Baier tells Stephen about the early life of Ulysses S. Grant, including the mixup at West Point that resulted in young Hiram becoming “Ulysses S.” Baier’s new book, “To Rescue The Republic,” is out October 12th.
