Windrush Special Season 12 Episode 7 Information
To commemorate National Windrush Day, the crew repairs four objects that honour the contributions and achievements of the Windrush generation and their descendants. Beverley is the first to enter the barn, carrying a souvenir from her father’s heritage. Beverley’s father, Alfanso, received his British passport in Jamaica in 1948, and it served as his legally binding document to come to the UK to assist rebuild the ‘Mother Country’ after WWII.
