Very disappointing. I think the contractor/design couple are more like back-woods people than professional. The design was crazy. Flipping the living area and dinning room ok maybe but…the fireplace should bring ambience to the room. Placing the dinning table as they did allows no one to see a glowing fireplace. People sitting on the fireplace side of the table will get a very hot backside due to the table being so close to the fireplace.
And then having another cheap looking table perpendicular and very close to the dinning table in the bar area makes the entire area look like a restaurant not a comfortable home.
I don’t care if it is the new trend, the plaid drapes do not flatter the wallpaper and look very out of place. Maybe a different pattered paper if using those drapes.
I admit design is a personal preference. With that said, I would never hire this couple to recreate my house and will not be watching further shows with them. Wishing them all the best though.
