Christina Trevanion and Will Kirk head to Buckinghamshire to help a mother and daughter who are overrun with antiques and unwanted objects. The storage space in Sarah and Georgie’s house is full of items of stock left over from Sarah’s late father’s antiques business, and they don’t know what to do with it all. The task for our experts is to work out what it’s all worth, but they’ve got to find it first.

Auctioneer Christina finds a cache of very fine timepieces and learns about Sarah’s dad’s profession as a watch repairer. Meanwhile, restoration expert Will is on the hunt for items of furniture that need a little sprucing up and shares a restoration tip that sees him raiding the fridge.

A very fancy chair needs some delicate specialist attention, and a collection of silver items with a nugget of gold hiding among them need careful inspection. A valuable collection of jewellery belonging to Sarah’s late mum might be harder to part with.

Their travelling saleroom pops up on the riverbank in Oxford, an ideal spot for a punt in more ways than one. As well as helping to find homes for over 100 items, the aim of this auction is to raise funds for a family trip of a lifetime. But will any of the items going under the hammer float the bidders’ boats?

While Will saves a wooden box and a broken chair, his antique-hunting companion finds a collection of glass and potentially valuable art nouveau items. Christina Trevanion and Will Kirk take their little blue van to Northamptonshire to visit Carol, her sons Keith and Thomas and her French terrier Buster.

Carol recently lost her husband, John, who was an avid antiques collector. With his treasures displayed all over the house, Carol is finding it hard to cope with all the memories. The family have called in Christina and Will to help them sell the items they’re happy to part with. And when all the rummaging gets too much, there’s time for a spot of horse racing, courtesy of another of John’s antique purchases.

Our auctioneers pitch up their pop-up saleroom in Worcestershire, at the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings, where bidders gather to snap up some historic auction items while others bid from around the world online. Just how much is John’s huge collection worth?

A valuable skeleton clock, whose mechanism is visible under a glass dome, is sent off to an expert clock doctor to try to make it work once again.
